The surface of a Bell Tap has no sharp edges, no recessed product name, nothing to scrape, chisel, or cause damage to a dance floor. Note - the logo of our product is on the side facing the shoe sole. Some have told us that people will not know the brand of the tap by casting the logo this way. Those wearing the tap know what brand they are dancing on and when the tap is worn out and removed from the shoe the logo will still be there looking the same as when the tap was first installed. Any aluminum dance tap can "gray" a unwaxed or improperly finished floor. This "graying" is easily washed off. If the floor is properly waxed and maintained no "graying" will occur. We recommend a polymer finished floor for dancing durability.
